We also focused on simplifying claims management with improved First Notice of Loss (FNOL) forms, which allow for faster claims initiation and resolution. Alongside this, we made significant portal enhancements that improve document management, ensuring you can easily upload and access client policies and materials. These updates reflect our commitment to giving you the tools you need to succeed without unnecessary hassle.

Expanded Coverage and Tailored Solutions

One of our proudest achievements this year has been the expansion of our commercial auto insurance offerings. Agents in Indiana, Maryland, Pennsylvania, Texas, and Virginia can now provide coverage to even more clients. In addition to geographic expansion, we’ve refined our offerings with customizable coverages that allow you to tailor policies to meet your clients’ unique needs. This flexibility, paired with our improved auto-decisioning technology, ensures a faster, smoother underwriting process. Additionally, our integration with IVANS ensures seamless data exchange, simplifying policy and billing management. These improvements have streamlined a critical part of your operations, helping you focus on what matters most: serving your clients.

Prioritized Safety: Insights from Our Survey

At Pie Insurance, safety is always a priority, and this year, we took a closer look at workplace safety trends with a comprehensive survey. The results revealed fascinating insights into generational differences in safety outcomes:

  • Business owners aged 55 and older reported a notably higher rate of safety success, with nearly 69% experiencing no workplace injuries in the past five years.
  • Younger owners aged 18-34 reported a lower rate of safety success, with only 23% experiencing no workplace injuries in the past five years.
  • Owners aged 34-54 fell in the middle, with 41% experiencing no workplace injuries in the past five years.

This generational divide underscores the need for greater safety awareness and education among younger entrepreneurs. It’s a reminder that safety practices should be a top priority for all businesses, regardless of size or experience.

Our survey also highlighted a critical issue: heat safety preparedness. While 65% of respondents reported taking or planning measures to address rising summer temperatures, a concerning 35% had no plans in place. With extreme weather becoming more common, ensuring heat safety is essential for protecting both employees and business continuity.
